Who doesn’t love Stevie Nicks, Diana Ross, Linda Ronstadt, Roberta Flack, Joni Mitchell and Debbie Harry? This show will explore the environment they came up in. We will get into not only those artists, but their contemporaries that they inspired and were inspired by. A great show for all skill levels.
Fast paced, catchy and extremely adolescent, Pop-Punk emerged as the answer to every suburban kid’s prayers. It is a mixture of Punk Rock and Power Pop that just won’t quit. Featuring bands like Blink-182, Green Day, Sum 41 and more, this show is sure to get your adrenaline pumping. There are next to no keyboards in this show. A good show for any skill level that wants to play fast.
Hall and Oates are true American treasures. Revered by musicians of every stripe for their innovative mix of Rock, Soul and R&B, Darryl Hall and John Oates will always be remembered for hits like Rich Girl, Private Eyes and You Make My Dreams. A great show for all skill levels. Join this show if you really want to work on your singing.
In my humble opinion, Creedence Clearwater Revival is the greatest American Band. Rolling Stone just printed an article saying that “the biggest band of 2024 is…Creedence…” The music is immediate and hits a particularly American nerve in the best possible way. Songs like Born on the Bayou, Fortunate Son and Have You Ever Seen The Rain are still used in movie soundtracks to great effect. A great show for all skill levels.
Two of the biggest funk bands of all time are, hands down, Earth, Wind & Fire and Kool & The Gang. Both had cross-over radio hits like September and Celebrate, but both also had scorching deep cuts that kept their street cred tight like Serpentine Fire and Jungle Boogie. This show can take tons of vocals and horns. Join it if you want to work hard.
